Mediation & Divorce

Going through Mediation?

Our approach to mediation

When a relationship breaks down there are almost certainly financial issues to resolve. In our experience, separated couples often worry about where they will live and how they can afford their monthly bills when they are facing the prospect of no longer living together.

It may be that one or other partner took the lead on financial matters and you feel out of your depth or you may never have dealt with financial matters on your own.

At Wallace Home Finance we understand that, even without relationship breakdown, planning your financial future can be stressful.  We offer you a confidential and professional approach to help you understand your financial options from an initial conversation about what’s possible to guiding you through the mortgage maze.

Our work is focussed initially around the mortgage and protection needs but we also work with other professionals who can give specific pension and investment advice.

Our initial meetings are free of charge while we understand your financial situation and we guarantee that you will be fully informed of any potential costs before you incur them.

Financial Vulnerability Charter

Wallace Home Finance is registered and supports the Financial Vulnerability Charter.

The Financial Vulnerability Taskforce is a newly created independent representative body covering the Personal Finance Sector. Its ultimate purpose is to promote greater understanding, encourage appropriate behaviours and establish best practice in respect of consumer vulnerability. Established as a Community Interest Company, it seeks to be an informed source of positive influence on policy makers, professionals and the general public alike. In doing so, we hope that professionals working across the Personal Finance Sector are increasingly seen as a ‘safe pair of hands’, especially by those who find themselves in vulnerable circumstances.
