Colin Wallace
Director & Mortgage Broker
With nearly three decades of experience across the financial services landscape, Colin brings a blend of strategic insight and straight-talking mortgage advice. Having led teams, shaped propositions, and supported clients nationwide, he’s as comfortable at the boardroom table as he is guiding first-time buyers through their first purchase.

As the founder of Wallace Home Finance, Colin built the business around one simple belief, that mortgage advice should empower clients, not confuse them. His approach is pragmatic, transparent, and grounded in education, helping clients understand their options, make confident decisions, and secure finance that truly fits.
A Word From Colin...
“I want to build a business that delivers clear, honest advice, but also helps people understand the ‘why’ behind their mortgage & protection decisions. My goal is to make clients feel informed and empowered, not sold to.

I’m also passionate about making sure every client is properly protected when they borrow. Life has a habit of throwing curve balls, and I make no apology for insisting that clients have the right safety nets in place - it’s simply good advice and the right thing to do. I only hire people who are as passionate about this as I am.”

Work Experience

Colin’s career spans more than 25 years in financial services, including senior leadership and advisory roles with some of the UK’s best-known institutions.

Before founding Wallace Home Finance in 2019, Colin spent over a decade with Legal & General in national relationship and proposition roles, leading teams and developing adviser-focused propositions.

Prior to that, he worked as a Financial Adviser with Prudential and Bradford & Bingley, building a strong foundation in mortgage and protection advice. This combination of board-level insight and hands-on advisory experience shapes the straight-talking, client-first approach that defines Wallace Home Finance today.
